My name is Yolanda Olavarria, and I am the founder of the Respect Me Project. This site is dedicated to providing a space for the art of mentoring and to content creation with roadmaps that successfully guide emerging talents through the recruitment lifecycle and beyond.

 

I am a content creator and product developer with experiences in healthcare, people operations, and education technology. These diverse experiences have shaped my vision on how organizations and individuals can best leverage the current generational gap in the workplace that is the largest existing gap in U.S. labor history. The creative process includes amazing contributions made by interns from the University of Florida. In which we collect data and explore ways of creating meaningful experiences for emerging talents in the workplace.

We know that having a space to acknowledge, recognize, and share our unique perspectives and experiences is intrinsically connected to our sense of wellbeing.

Our Story

A Journey of Innovation and Insight

The Respect Me Project was born in early 2020, during a time when the global COVID-19 pandemic reshaped our priorities and dismantled outdated, unsustainable workflows. Initially, our focus was on identifying the challenges within the job recruitment process. However, over time, our mission has evolved.

 

Today, we empower job seekers to embrace the entire job search journey as a valuable experience, regardless of the outcome. After all, as the saying goes, "When one door closes, another one opens." Doors have been closing and opening since the dawn of time, and this cycle will continue, so why not enjoy the journey and make it one of self-discovery and growth?
